MEMBERS IN HERTFORDSHIRE

We've had many members from Hertfordshire over the years and we're pleased to say successes from there (if you judge success by marriage - which certainly ISN'T our only criteria!)

Phoebe had lived in Hertfordshire for many years when she obtained her divorce after 30 years of marriage and decided to try and find happiness again by joining friendsfirst.  She had read about the organisation in her Woman Alive magazine. Although she received numerous profiles, it wasn’t until she received John’s that she started to get excited. They spoke intermittently for about six weeks and then arranged a meeting. John felt a little nervous of Phoebe’s children, one of them still lived at home, but they soon found themselves enjoying each other’s company so much that these worries became insignificant. In fact the children were all very supportive of their parents and were delighted when they arranged their wedding day five months after their first meeting.

Distance was not an issue for John who lived in Nottingham. He was used to travelling the globe for his job and was certainly not going to let a matter of a few miles get in the way of his future happiness. You can read their story in full by clicking here.
