MEMBERS IN NORTHUMBERLAND

We have some heart warming tales of love overcoming difficulty such as the story of Jill from Northumberland. She was a single lady, devoted to her faith and waiting for God to guide her into a suitable relationship. She decided to help Him by joining friendsfirst when time seemed to be running out for her. She gave it two years and then feeling somewhat disillusioned received a message from Alan in Scotland. This seemed rather a distance to travel but after lots of happy conversations when they realised they had lots in common, they each went halfway and met up for a day. It was a great success and so they arranged more similar dates. It did not take long for Alan, who was in his seventies, to propose and for Jill to accept.
