MEMBERS IN WEST YORKSHIRE

We have a special place in our hearts for West Yorkshire not least because of one of our members who joined, married and went on to write a very popular book for us! So many great things to come out of a great county!

David had been married for many years when he suddenly found himself a divorced father of four children and on his own. He felt completely devastated and although he was working as a vicar with a good sized parish it seemed impossible to meet suitable unattached ladies. A friend introduced him to friendsfirst and he was on his way to a new life.

David really made the most of his membership and contacted lots of the ladies sent to him, amongst whom was Gill. He took it quite gently with Gill and was totally honest about being in touch with a number of people, which she accepted. He was very keen to make sure he was friends first before rushing into a relationship with anyone. Gradually though he came to realise that Gill fulfilled all his criteria very successfully and after a period of around twelve months, they became engaged.

David is up in West Yorkshire and Gill was down in Worcestershire. She has moved up to be with him and much enjoys her role as vicar’s wife. You can read their story in full by clicking here.
